Ground Conductivity Meters Based on the design principles of inductive electromagnetics, Ground Conductivity Meters provide a non-invasive method for measurement of subsurface conductivity and magnetic susceptibility. Without any requirement for soil-to-instrument contact, surveys can be performed quickly – facilitating dense data collection and, consequently, excellent spatial resolution – and over most geologic environments, including conditions of highly resistive surface materials such as sand and gravel. EM31-MK2: a recognized standard for applications in environmental site characterization, the EM31-MK2 provides measurement of apparent conductivity and magnetic susceptibility to an effective depth of 6 metres. EM34-3: providing variable depth of exploration to an effective maximum of 60 metres, the EM34-3 provides measurement of subsurface apparent conductivity; measurement of magnetic susceptibility data is available with an optional modification. EM38-MK2: a recognized standard within the global agricultural community for the characterization of subsurface properties, the EM38-MK2 provides measurement of apparent conductivity and magnetic susceptibility to an effective depth of 1.5 metres. Support for the collection and processing of data from any Ground Conductivity Meter is available with any Data Acquisition System. |
